The first step is to create a video file suitable for streaming. There are many formats that can be used to stream video online. Movavi VideoSuite supports three of the most popular: WMV, RM and Mov and includes a variety of presets to ensure your video is of optimal size and quality for the web. Choose the format that's right for you. The following information will help you decide: WMV (Windows Media Video) Files in WMV format are good quality and small size, which makes them very portable. The most obvious advantage is that videos in WMV format will play on almost any Windows computer using the default Windows Media Player. This is probably the best choice to start out. RM (Real Media) Files in RM format are very high quality, but larger in size. To view Real Media streams, viewers will need a copy of Real Player. Not everyone has it, but the basic version can be downloaded free of charge. MOV is used by QuickTime-wrapped files. The format was created by Apple Computer, and to play them on Windows computer you have to install QuickTime Player.
